A look ahead and a glance back

To all of my friends and family, acquaintances and colleagues:

May 2014 kick some serious ass.

To rephrase that…

If you are in any way unhappy, may 2014 bring you joy and peace.
If you are struggling with anything, may 2014 bring you solutions and success.
If you are staring down the barrel of anything unpleasant at all, may 2014 be the year that things GO YOUR WAY.

I have a very dear friend, Cindy, who has set a very reasonable and obtainable resolution for herself this year and it’s one we can learn from. (She has also been such an incredible inspiration to me this year; she’s a big reason why I was able to lose 35 pounds in 2013!) Her resolution? To knit more. Now, Cindy is a wonderful person. She is a fabulous wife and a mother to 2 incredible kids plus she also works full time. She’s obviously a very busy woman. However, knitting is something she loves to do, and she’s resolved to do more of it in 2014. Now, that’s what I’m talking about!

I’ve made a resolution to bring more happiness into my life. The past few years, Brian and I have really hermitted ourselves. Well, 2014 will be the year that I rekindle the friendships that I’ve let slide, and maybe even make some new friends. Everyone can use more friends, right?

Happy New Year, friends.
