I started to write a story today…

I used to like to write, when I was in high school and college. Unfortunately, I suffer from an acute lack of imagination, so I haven’t really written anything creatively in about 20 years. I did do well when assigned topics, I seem to recall…

Anyway, with the recent PodCastle flash contest, I have had the bug to try writing again. I’d been trying to come up with an idea for a short story when I came across a post on a popular internet forum site where someone talked about using old photographs as inspiration for creativity. As soon as I read that the flood gates opened and today I got down almost 500 words. I’m not nearly done with the story, but the fact that it’s been started is immense to me.

Oh, and did I mention that I also submitted my latest narration to Cast of Wonders and that it is my favorite narration I’ve done to date? Or that I’ve lost 30 pounds this year?

Excuse me whilst I go and knock on some wood. Life has been good lately and I hope it stays that way…

Dani, I couldn’t find a way to contact you on your site so I decided to comment. I’m looking for a narrator (royalty share) for my book, which it to be published (by me) on Jan 15. It is my first book and is the first in a series. If you would be interested in narrating it for acx please let me know. And how did you lose 30 pounds? You can check out my website, (newly up) if you wish. Thanks,
