Another productive weekend…

Well, this is certainly not the last productive weekend I’ve had since I last updated my blog. Not by any means! But, the weeks (months, really) that have passed have been full of boring business.  Not worth dwelling on.

This weekend, however, Brian and I were very busy bees.  We hadn’t done any work in the yard since Sandy, and there was a ton to do, so we did a LOT of clean up.  We have a long way to go yet, but just making the first step was big. We bagged a whole bunch of leaves and made a lot of bundles of sticks and branches.  Go us! (Unfortunately, it seems we lost a bush. Our Japanese Pieris seems not to have survived the winter. But many of the other perennials seem to have made it. Yay!)

I also went to a salon yesterday. For the first time in…well, a very long time. I’ve had professional haircuts in the past decade, to be sure, but they’ve all been in various peoples homes.  Not that going to a salon makes a haircut any better, but it felt nice.

We just finished dinner too. We had tacos, delicious tacos. I do want to brag; we ground the beef tonight and also baked our own shells for that tacos.  They were, as mentioned, delicious. Happy Cinco de Mayo!
